Services that Make a Difference

Resource Bank
Castelo de Sonhos has a resource bank (food, furniture, clothing/shoes, personal hygiene products, household goods and support for pregnant women).
The Resource Bank provides primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention services to households at potential risk. It supports families, individuals, and institutions with proven socioeconomic hardship. Access to resources is free; only proof of socioeconomic hardship is required.
How does it work?
The family support store operates as follows:
Pregnant women receive a layette from the seventh month of pregnancy, which contains practically all the necessary items for the baby, and after the birth they receive clothes, personal hygiene products and diapers every month.
Regarding food, we have the support of the Food Bank Against Hunger, as well as the PESSOAS2030 Program.
Beneficiary families undergo a rigorous assessment to demonstrate their financial hardship. To be eligible, they must submit all of the family’s personal documents, as well as proof of income and expenses. After submitting these documents, the household’s per capita income is assessed, and admission is granted if, for each member, the income is found to be less than or equal to the social support index.
Food program products are distributed monthly.
